OKBeer (1171) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - AUG 22, 2007
650 ml bottle, date stamped Sept. 07. Hazy golden yellow colour with a fully lasting creamy and frothy white head. Biscuit and banana aroma with lemon notes. Fruity, lightly acidic lemony flavours. Light bodied, soft mouthfeel. It actually wasn’t so bad, but definitely gone off despite being less than a week out of the store.

Bouteille 650ml (LCBO).

Bottle: Poured a pale amber color beer with a medium bubbly head with some average retention. Aroma of unrefined grain is more or less pleasant. Taste is also dominated by some unrefined grain and medium sweetness. There is also a weird metallic taste which might be due to oxidation. It is too bad this beer wasn’t better because weather was perfect too enjoy such a beer.

TheJester (2542) - Cavan Monaghan, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 14, 2007
650 mL bottle. Pale yellow gold with a small head that recedes to a thin film almost immediately. Aroma is very grassy/malty, and there is also a bit of sweet citrus in there. Sweet, but more fruity sweet than malty sweet. Taste is quite fruity for a pale lager. Finish is as much malt as it is hops, although the hops are there. Not crisp enough. Or something. Different. Undecided.

mabel (9245) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 30, 2007
[440-20070726] Sample @ LCBO-Summerhill. Toasted bread and grain aroma with some mango or apricot fruit notes. Clear, yellow orange body with a quick foamy white head. Medium body. Refreshing, as it seems fresh.

rederic (3341) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 24, 2007
Slight cloudy blonde hue, with a small white head, leaving laces, yeasty fruity nose, with a winey note, wet hay, sweet honeyed pale malt, with a candied grapefruit peel aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity, acidic character, with a winey accent, a floral hop citrusy note, with a lemon, grapefruit fruitiness, a mild honeyed pale malt touch, leading towards a citrus hop bitterness finish.

probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 17, 2007
Bomber from LCBO shared with Lubiere (thanks…I think), served cold in a goblet. JL16/07

App.: Hazy golden-amber, tiny off-white head. Aroma: Heavy dose of fermented, oxidized apple juice, lots of organic acids, slightly medicinal/band-aid. Terrible. Palate: Medium body, medium effervescent carbonation. Flav.: Some malt (trying to be nice here...), slightly metallic, definite band-aid/medicinal defect, more organic acids, slightly fruity.

Honestly, how the hell is Trafalgar still in business?? Their beers are like a bad car accident to me: I know I shouldn’t check them out, but I can’t help myself. If the brewer read this, do yourself a favour. Nuke your equipment, chuck your yeast and start over with someone who knows how to brew beer.

mephisto (1294) - TAIWAN - JUL 7, 2007
a sweet lager, it looks and tastes like typical lager, but on the sweet side.

caledonian (367) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 24, 2007
Golden color, no head to speak of. Caramel malty presence, with a bit of cereal, and cheese. For a light beer, it has a decent body. Not bad at all, surprised to see it’s brewed by Trafalgar. I’d actually buy it again.

Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 3, 2007
Bomber from LCBO. A hazy golden lager with grainy grassy aroma. In mouth, a run of the mill product with signs of lactic acids, infection. No hops here. Not too good. Tulip festival edition.
