Pours a clean, light golden colour with a frothy white cap, decent stay and some good patchy thick foam lacing. Smooth corn aromas at first with chemical sharp fake hops eventually coming out. Smooth taste as well, at first, with a club soda feel, light corn in the middle and the cheap hops being better, as not as pungent as the nose. Overall, goes down smoothly with not much too offensive. Canadian version brewed by Stroh Canada.

Average beer. Disappointing taste, not tasting the ice. A pale version of their classic.

24 OZ Can: (of course) Clear, light gold with a white head. Corn, barley scent. Grain malt, mild vegetable flavour......straw... Fairly sweet.....ok for what it is.

Can. Corny barley malt and straw aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Moderately sweet corn syrup, barley malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Okay body. On the sweet side but not quite cloying.

M&D Liquor Store, Trenton can: pours pale with a frothy head. Aroma is corny and not boozy or sugary. Taste is corny. Not too sweet. Kind of shitty finish. Bad but not as bad as I feared.

Straw and spices on the nose. A little smoother and less metallic than most macro lagers with a too-sweet finish.

This beer is not only one of my favourite discount beers, but it is also one of my favourite beers overall. Old Milwaukee Ice is one of the cheapest beers you can by at your local beer store. The taste is really good. And the 5.5% is good too.

This can is a total rip-off of High Life, complete w/ pinup girl. What garbage! This is a pretty solid terrible beer though. It has kind of a yeasty metallic nose. It’s got very fizzy carbonation and is light bodied but still manages to be sweet and gross w/ a slight twinge of apple. There’s some grassy hops going on as well which makes this rate as not too bad to drink in my book.

473ml can. Clear gold pour, fizzy white head. Aroma is grainy, mild hop must. Flavor is papery, sweet, somewhat dry, not terrible.

THis is an olde tyme rate from my youth. I remember living in a roach infested near derelict duplex in Hapeville..just south of Atlanta. I worked 2 jobs as this was 1995 and i had just immigrated and wanted my wife to stay home ( bad idea but thats another story). My usual for my one day off was 3x 40 oz Ole English. I get home Saturday and wife approaches saying she got me some beer..uh-huh..turned out to be this one..6 pack bottles..something like 99 cents ( i think they were testing it out). Tell you what it wasnt a bad beer for a poor 2 job working sod. Have good memories of this..so cheap was able to buy wifie her choice of Bartles and Jaymes wine cooler that night
