3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Appearance is a hazy golden orange color with a substantial layer of off-white foam. Aroma is a potent blend of pine resin, ruby red grapefruit and vegetal hops notes. The flavor opens up with a strong emphasis on resiny hops bitterness, citrus rind, tropical fruit and mint. The body is slightly thick with significant carbonation and lots of aggressively bitter citrus peel and hops oil flavors in the finish. Different but equally enjoyable as Ruud Awakening.
Tap. Overly piney aroma. Good start. Flavor is rich pine, resin, minor citrus. Medium body and bitterness. I’d say this is an on par fresh hop IPA. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - OCT 15, 2015
Leafy citrus nose on top of soft malt base. Hazy golden thin foam ring. Citrus and soft wet hop floral notes. Some mild dank flabby carbonation lends to a boring beer. Flavor nice body and carb bad. Meh. Prufrockstar (2132) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - OCT 10, 2015
Bomber, picked up on day it dropped in seattle. Clear pale pour, decent head. I’ve discovered that the main thing I like about "fresh hop" beers is that I know they’re fresh when I buy them. Clear pale pour, decent head. Citrus and pine, enough base sweetness that the bitterness at the end is muted. So damned quaffable. Just an all around well-crafted easy going ipa. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - JAN 24, 2014
On tap. Hazy amber with a white head. Nose is pine. Taste is caramel, citrus and pine. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - JAN 7, 2014
This IPA pours a brilliant bright orange that the photo does not do justice to. Then there is a big aroma of fruit punch and grape with a little bit of spice in there as well. Just delightful smelling. One of those beers that you could twirl under your nose for minutes without drinking. The taste packs a punch. Lots of grape notes. The bitterness lingers and is even a little dry at the back.

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2013 Nice piney citrus aroma. And asphalt? Smooth malt and citrus taste. A little rubber. Slightly sweet & caramely. Bitter finish.
**I think my bottle may have been bad. drfabulous (8085) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - NOV 2, 2013
22 ounce bottle thanks to Prufrockstar. Nice hoppy nose followed by a solid balanced hop, malt build. Some citrus and sweetness in taste. Solid. pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - OCT 6, 2013
On draught at Apex. Golden honey color. Aroma is resinous pine hops and a touch of tart citrus. Taste is sticky bitter and sweet caramel citrus with pine notes. Finishes with a bitterness that comes with a hint of sweet. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JAN 15, 2013
Bottle:   Deep orange, thick with haze, moderate frothy off-white head, nice lacing.   Big citrusy aroma, hoppy, slight pine and resin, and as Sloth mentioned, a touch of burnt rubber.   Not strong, but enough to say "who farted?".   Moderate hoppiness on the tongue, a little dank and sweaty, with a touch of that aformentioned rubber aspect.   Stale grapefruit like hoppiness towards the backside.   Seems fairly fresh wiithout being too bright or brash.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Lingering grapefruit, pith, and resin notes.   Decent example, fresh, but a little farty. cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 30, 2012
Bottled. Pours hazy gold with a short head. Decent retention and lace. Bright, green floral nose. Some pine and citrus as well. Medium bitter flavor. This one oozes with hop oils. Light-medium body, light oily texture, and a long, oily, bitter, grapefruity, dry finish. Excellent fresh hop IPA.
