22oz. Bottle: Aroma of chocolate and oats. Poured pitch black in color with a small, creamy, dense, rocky, brown head that mostly diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer, as well as around the edges. Opaque. Not sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, chocolate, coffee, oats, light hops, and a hint of cream. Medium body. Thin, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Chocolate, malt, coffee, and oat finish is lightly dry. 7%ABV is completely hidden throughout. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 13, 2010
22 oz bottle. Pours a black body with a small frothy brown head that left some lacing and receded to a thin covering. The aroma is just delicious. Rich chocolate and roast with a nice oat character and a bit of earthiness. The flavor is nicely roasty, slightly sweet, with a smooth oat character that really mellows out the overall flavor profile. A bit of burnt malt and coffee rounds out the finish that lingers on for a good while. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and almost creamy in texture with perfect soft and gentle carbonation. Overall a very nice Oatmeal Stout with a good deal more depth of flavor than your average Sweet Stout. riversideAK (6260) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - OCT 5, 2010
Coffee, roast, dark bitter chocolate, oily hops in the nose. Light sweetness as well. Pours black, oily with a soft tan head. The flavor starts off with a blast of roast and coffee, moves to dark bittersweet chocolate with light sweetness throughout, then moves to an oily hop bitterness in the back end. Dry and bitter with nice underlying sweetness. Creamy and almost oily body. Really a very enjoyable sweet stout. DuffMan (10267) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 26, 2010
