Enjoyed this last night with a couple friends. This is one of the best Imperial IPAs I’ve had from Washington. Alcohol melds well, hop aroma is amazing and the body really helps showcase the hops. Big fan of this brewery! Berta4519 (27) - New York, USA - MAY 30, 2013
Was pleasantly surprised. Brewed with honey? Fresh juicy fruit back bone. Really enjoyed it CapFlu (5127) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 15, 2010
(Draught) Sampled at the brewpub on June 4, 2010. Pint special for $3.75 – Amazing deal. Served in a quasi-red wine goblet glass. Lasting thin, white head with a cloudy, orange body. Rich, sweet orange sherbet nose. Incredibly fresh aroma. Potent Hi-C hops up front with a stingingly citrus and bitter malt mid-palate. Surprised? Oh yeah. And very happy. Best beer of my summer vacation. 9/4/8/4/17 manuchampions (1244) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 3, 2010
22oz bottle shared with McBerko. Pours a dark amber. Nose is hemp, slight malt. Flavour is big and funky with pot like hops. Lovely malt back. Layered and rewarding. Excellent beer. mcberko (17841) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 3, 2010
22 oz. bottle, split with manuchampions, pours a cloudy copper / amber with a small white head. Very herbal hop aroma with secondary characteristics of grass, grapefruit and caramel. Flavour of surprisingly complex hop flavours, lots of spicy notes and potent hemp. Absolutely fantastic.

Hadn’t had this in awhile. Smells of marijuana, onion, citrus rind, malt, grass and even some pine. Appearance is transparent reddish golden. loose lacing and light carbonation. Taste is super pine, sweet and sticky malt, almost honey, citrus, grass and bitterness. Palate is sticky and lingering. medium body. Alcohol heat is there. Overall a nice Imperial IPA that I’d gladly drink again although one bottle in a sitting is about all I can handle. Lazerlobe (37) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - FEB 21, 2013
Really fruity nose and well hidden alcohol, this skews toward some tropical and citrus with a little pine back. Clean and big, it goes to the head. Mattrad (3) - - APR 5, 2013 does not count
The Imperial by Old School House is a really good beer. I have found that the taste does change throughout the year which is expected but when its good its really good. This beer is best when you drink it in Winthrop.
For a 9%er it is really well balance. It does lean toward your Washington style Imperials with its earthy finish. mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - APR 28, 2013
Nice old school West Coast (D)IPA. Strong hop aroma with deep copper pour. Good mouthfeel, but the name of the game here is hops. Strong grapefruit taste, with perhaps some pine -- and bitterness bitterness bitterness! This is a hophead's delight of a beer.

Pours a orangey golden color. Has an off white head that is fairly small. Smells of pears, oranges, earthy tones, flowery trees, and delicious hops. Taste is first of pears. It then changes to a flowering elm tree. Finally, there is a earthy earthy tone with a bitter bitter finish. I like the finish of this one. Has a good amount of hops that are present in the finish. Has a good balance of sweetness from the fruit with the bitterness from the hops. Not as good as my last imperial ipa but still very very good.
