COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Old Schoolhouse Brewers Reserve, waxed bottle and wicked stout flavor. Deep, dark, and complex with layers of caramel, chocolate, and roasted malts. Very rich with high alcohol and plenty of hops to balance out the loads of malted barley.

22oz bottle (over a year old) in a teku. Pours black with a lacy, beige head. Aroma of a decent amount of roasted malts, chocolate and caramel, some light notes of coffee, and some light bitterness. Flavor the same, with a lot of roast up front and some sweetness/hints of dark fruits on the finish. Smooth texture. A pretty good imperial stout, but not the most balanced.

Bottle. Pours a near-black color with a moderate light brown head on it. Nose is very dry and roasty, with just a little bit of sourness cutting through, nearing on a RIS. Taste is a little sweet up front with some chocolate in there, and a lot of roasting throughout. Really quite a pleasant dessert beer.

Bottle from Elizabeth St., Bellingham; there is a "best after" date but it cant be read
Dark brown color, near black, with small head. Nice aroma, roasted malt, some chocolate, some tar, light coffee. Good body strength; strong flavor of roasted malt, with dark caramel, some coffee and pungent hop resins; strong bitterness too.
Imperial Stout by the book, very good.

Nothing to write home about. Smooth for the ABV which is nice. Very simple lightly roasty and chocolatey imp stout without and frills. Drinkable and good.
