Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has some pine and orange notes as well as some biscuit malt. The flavor is similar with a lot of bitter pine, biscuit malt and oranges. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. SudsMcDuff (8429) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - JUL 25, 2013
Thanks Charlie, shared with the brew crew @ Beerfoot while we brewed a Dubbel. Deep amber.. Bark, maple age , and mild earthy hops .. . Decent. .. Sitting here on my phone. Yes. Sitting.. Dapierce17 (110) - Pasco, Washington, USA - JUN 19, 2013
Very little carbonation and head. Poured hazy amber. Piney grapefruit aroma. A little more viscous for my liking but has a nice hop bitterness and alcohol is prevalent on the palate. Good, not great.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a foamy white head. Aroma of pine, citrus and caramel. Flavor was bitter and hoppy with pale malts, citrus, pine, grapefruit and a hint of caramel with a long bitter finish. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - APR 6, 2013

I’d put this up against most WA IPAs for top regularly available IPA. It walks the fine line of exploding with hops without wrecking the palate. More citrus than floral with some lingering resin. sea206 (3) - Washington, USA - FEB 16, 2013 does not count
Nice amber color with a nice head as well. Pine, floral aroma, sweet, spicy hoppy middle and a bitter back. Pretty good, I will definitely pick up this bottle again. I picked up this 22 oz @ Whole Foods Seattle (Interbay) for $5.49. I drank half of this 22 oz, corked it, then drank the second half about 12 hours later, the carbonation and taste held up very well. robforbes (2242) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - FEB 2, 2013
pours a semi-cloudy amber with a small egg shell head, and a good lacing.

Old Schoolhouse has become one of my favorite WA breweries this year. Ruud Awakening is one of the reasons why! Packed with great pine and slight citrus hop aroma, it has a fantastic malt body with nice bitterness and hop flavor. One of the best IPAs from WA state.
