Aroma is hops hops hops and citrus. One of the better combinations of smells and they master it. Taste is more average, but good. Hops and spice with some hints of vanilla and wheat. Nice thick body, good carbonation.

Pours clear copper with a nice off-white head. Very hoppy as you would hope, though mostly just bitter. Enjoyed it despite that, would drink this again.

Location: 22 oz bottle from State Line, 6/25/12

Aroma: The nose has a good amount of tropical fruit and grapefruit, with some resin notes
Appearance: Pours a cloudy orange color with a small, bubbly white head and some decent lacing
Flavor: It is mildly sweet from the tropical fruits, but the bitterness is clearly the dominant component here
Palate: The body is medium, it is sticky, has a soft-to-average carbonation, and a lingering, dry finish
Overall Impression: I actually quite enjoyed this one. It did a lot of what I want from an IPA. This one has a nice West Coast style to it. It isn’t anything original, and it doesn’t really approach the top-of-style offerings, but it is a heck of a solid IPA.

22 oz. bottle shared by Keir- thanks, Keir! Pours a cloudy amber-gold color with a finger of off-white head. Aroma is caramel malt-forward, with crackers, some leafy and grassy hops, and a little bit of citrus fruit. The flavor is pretty much the same- simple, with caramel, citrus, leaves, and toasted sugar. Medium-bodied, with an initially malty mouthfeel that becomes more bitter late and moderate carbonation.

Pint from Chuck’s @ $7.59. Beautiful looking IPA the pleasantly (if almost brutally) bitter. A little too one-note for me to rate it much higher but a fine example of a NW IPA.
