On tap at Old Schoolhouse, pours a hazy amber with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and some nuttiness. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt and a little roast. Quite flavourful for a brown. Nice. bartzluke (598) - Oklahoma, USA - MAY 22, 2015
16 oz chilled pour from tap into a shaker pint. Brown and opaque with little head to speak of, though some lacing. Might have just been over filled. Medium to light body. Light and creamy. Malty, nutty nose. A little sweet smelling. Taste is sweet malts, some hazelnut, a little oaky maybe. All around a slightly-above average sweet brown ale. Fairly flavorful and drinkable. Better as it warms. Oakes (18873) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 9, 2015
Toasty assertive brown, sweetish accents w so me caramel. Ok...might like it a little drier but it’s good. Fatehunter (2615) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - SEP 14, 2014
Pours a thin head on a dark brown body.
The aroma is mostly roasted malt with some caramel in the background.
The taste tends towards a caramel sweet but stops short, a little watery, roasted malt in the middle. A little confused.
The texture is soft with moderate carbonation.
A pretty middle of the road brown ale. alexsdad06 (10821) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUN 8, 2014
22 oz. bottle shared by DrSilverworm in December 2012. Pours a clear brown color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor had some roast, dark chocolate, hints of caramel sweetness with some earthy hops to the finish. Pretty standard brown for the most part.

Clear very dark brown with a tall off-white head.
Rich malty aroma, dusty cocoa powder.

Excellent Brown Ale. 60minuteman (1765) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 24, 2012
A tasty brown ale wrapped in a solid dark brown color with good head. Caramrl and dark chocolatr notes. Definitely some fruity undertones, possibly orange but maybe lemon. Tmoney99 (14985) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 17, 2012
Bottle. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt, nuts and soft hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good beer.
