On tap at Old Schoolhouse, pours a hazy amber with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and some nuttiness. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt and a little roast. Quite flavourful for a brown. Nice. Oakes (18873) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 9, 2015
Toasty assertive brown, sweetish accents w so me caramel. Ok...might like it a little drier but it’s good. bhensonb (15761) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 4, 2010
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours sort of dark ruby with a 3 finger foamy tan head. Smell of sweet brown roast malt with a hint of chocolate. Medium body with strongly foamy carbonation. Flavor is smooth roast brown with a lot of chocolate notes. It’s bitter. And it seems to be hop bitter. Drinks pretty easy. Tmoney99 (14983) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 17, 2012
Bottle. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt, nuts and soft hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good beer.

22 oz. bottle shared by DrSilverworm in December 2012. Pours a clear brown color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor had some roast, dark chocolate, hints of caramel sweetness with some earthy hops to the finish. Pretty standard brown for the most part. 22oz bottle, shared. Mostly clear dark ruby red color. Little off-white head. Bit of lace. Dark fruity nose. Smooth, lighter, softer carbonation. More dry texture. Some maple syrup. Light chocolate. Little bitter taste. Nice nose and flavor to this. Something about it is lacking for me, but it’s a decent brown ale after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JUN 18, 2010
22. Pours an opaque dark brown with a loose and foamy disc of grayish head atop. Tons of sheety lace. Looks pretty rich. Nice. Mild caramel and brown bread nose. Creamy medium body, mild carb. Caramel, brown bread, toast, a little molasses on the mid-palate. Mild sweet bready finish. Very clean and reasonably tasty brown. Not half bad.
