Reddish amber, minimal head. Malty caramel aroma. Malty flavour. A bit thin. Not much on the aftertaste. Fairly average. ALLOVATE (3087) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - OCT 2, 2014
Not being a fan of Coles Liquor - the only supplier in WA to get this one - it took a good friend to bring a few of these over for my enjoyment! I had little expectations of a show-stopper but what I did get wasn’t at all too shabby.mkel07 (6546) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - SEP 27, 2014
Into a tulip it produces up a burnished amber and brilliant with sparse carbonation. A sloppy dollop of cream settles atop and is mostly lasting. Strange aroma has - on the positive side - hints of pumpernickel, roasted nuts and peanut husks, and a little granola. On the negative was an undeniable note of used deep fryer oil and unscented soap. Pulled together on the palate. Quite malty; plenty of Horlicks™, roasted nuts, toasted, biscuity sweet malts matched by hints of salted pretzels. Good body and feel with soft carbonation. Long nutty and malty finish. Low hint of pepper but not much in the hop department (as expected of style). Went down magically, or maybe I was just really thirsty. Surprisingly good!! Bottle from First Choice Liquor May 2013. My expectations were low and they were reached. Deep amber colour but looked a tad flat. StevieT (2039) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 21, 2014
From a bottle. Pours a clear copper with a tiny white head that quickly disappears, quite smooth with subtle malt and hops flavours. Not as bad as I’d expected. KeefOz (1952) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - OCT 3, 2013
BB 15/02/2014. Poured a coppery amber colour with a thin white line of bubbles for a head that left a few spots of lacing. High carbonation as seen by numerous large bubbles forming trails. Aroma of sweet molasses, unusual for a lager. Taste of sweet grain and no bitterness. Light body, very water. Smooth finish. Unusual, more like a British ale.

Pours amber with a large, fading head.
Nose shows musty caramel, alongside nutty and chocolate malt. Also some cardboard and dried wood. Weird.
Very similar flavours, more nutty malt and earthy unroasted cocoa. Too plain and cardboard-like though.
Could use more carbonation and a thicker body.
Certainly different to what I was expecting.

Bottle- Pours a copper color with a head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of malt sweetness, some pine and a bit grainy. Taste is quite sweet. Sort of a honey sweetness with a bit of chocolate and a bit of grain in the background. Very mild bitterness and a sweet sticky finish. Fairly light body, smooth and sticky. is a non-offensive beer but too sweet to enjoy. Not what I would call a Vienna Style. Might appeal to younger novice drinkers.

Bottle. Clear amber with a fading white head. Aroma of caramel, some chocolate and nuts. Taste is sweet and grainy with hints of chocolate and nuts, very slight grassy bitterness. Pretty bland but not awful.
