2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
"Doesn’t seem to know if it wants to be a NW Amber or an irish red or something in between (where it ends up). Toasted and carmel malts up front, light hopping...not bad, but not much going on."

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Old Town Brewing, as "Old Town Paulie’s Not Irish Red." Clean, fruity nose, with light raisins and roast malt. Very pretty reddish brown color and a creamy tan head. Toasty maltiness, a stew of fermenting dark fruits. Thin-medium body and good smooth mouthfeel. Great balance from mid palate onwards. Tastes more like a heavy amber ale.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught. Red pour with white head. Light malt aroma, rather pleasing. Flavour is something like a good bitter, malt sweetness balanced with hop bitterness. Bitterish finish with some roast notes.
