From the 2016 J Webb 12 beers of Christmas box. Dark and chewey, slightly bitter. Tan foam. Nice DomD (306) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - OCT 15, 2016
Bottle into glass. Aroma of coffee. Pours almost black off white head. Light bitter taste. Has a bit of a sour aftertaste. Alright. PorterPounder (7970) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 13, 2016
Chilliwack, BC - Sardis Liquor Store - 650 ml bomber. Dark brown, leading to black pour, mocha colored head, nice thick lacing. Aroma of espresso and bitter unsweetened chocolate. Flavor is full of baker’s chocolate goodness, some licorice and a hint of espresso. Nice chalkiness to the mouthfeel. Enjoyed this while overlooking the Fraser River just north of Yale. Rating #19 of 2016 vacation. cfrancis (3450) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 29, 2016
Thanks to reimer for this. Pours black with a giant brown frothy top. Aroma is big coffee, roasted malts. Taste is big rich coffee and roasted malt. It overshadows any chocolate. cmacklin (1174) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 11, 2016
On tap. Pours an opaque black, with a large, frothy, long lasting, brown head, that leaves plenty of lacing. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate and soy sauce with a bitter coffee finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation.

Really enjoyed the dark creamy goodness. Had a good head but not quite a Guinness thick one. The taste was great and it wasn’t overpowering. Old Yale has a good one here. UXO (1896) - CANADA - FEB 11, 2016
Appearance: opaque black with brown margins, two fingers of rocky light beige head, moderate retention and minimal lacing. (3/5) Aroma: dark roast malt, grassy hops, earth. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (6/10) Palate: medium body tending slightly to the watery, moderate carbonation, off-dry medium duration mild bitter and lightly tart finish. (3/5)
Another less than memorable BC stout. It’s not great, nor is it terrible: it’s OK. Not sure why it’s won awards, to be honest, but hey, if it works for you, have at it. (12/20) MunBro (942) - St. Albert, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 12, 2016
Good stout! Apparently won gold at the Canadian Beer Awards or something similar a few years ago. Nice dark pour with a fizzy brown head. Roasted malt and chocolates with some coffee and espresso. DeanF (2464) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 5, 2015
Modest bright brown head and good black body. Roasted barley aroma with no complexity. Flavour is all roasted barley, almost to the point of over-roasting. Watery on the mouth. A miss for a stout, sadly. RobBestwick (931) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 27, 2015
Bottle. Roasted coffee, woody and dark chocolate aroma. Classic stout appearance with a dark yellowish head. Dark chocolate and roasted coffee. Smooth bodied with a long malty finish. Solid stout.
