Clear copper pour with a thick, frothy offwhite head. Interesting aroma of citrusy hops with caramel malt. The flavor is very good, starts sweet with the caramel malt and then the citrusy hops dominates the rest until the bitter finish, the hops feels very fresh, almost green, there’s also a spicy flavor in there, it might come from the hops. The body has a medium thickness with an oily texture and medium carbonation. A good, well made IPA. GonZoBeeR (3061) - ste-catherine, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 4, 2005

Poured a cloudy mahogany-tinged gold with tan-white head. Slightly oily mouthfeel which is dominated by the EKG hops. After some thought I decided that the flavour is most reminiscent of lilacs. Standard bitter IPA finish. Miguel (1181) - Saint-Ours, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 26, 2005
Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - MAY 20, 2005
Bottle: Pours a yellow tinged orangish colour. Nice thick frothy head. Very strong aroma smells of fruity (peach) hoppy. Actually it smells like orange sherbert!
Creamy smooth start with a hop bitterness quickly taking over. Well carbonated but it doesn’t take away from the beer too much in my opinion. Strong lingering bitter aftertaste.

Peachy orange, opaque with sediment depositing on the bottom of my Maudite snifter. The head is behemothic! And it’s cakey and thick, it’s beyond meringue, it’s almost marzipan! Nice, nice stuff.
The fresh samples I had were extremely floral and honey sweet, this older bottle had an awesome citrus eruption up my nostrils. Vivacious carbonation, malt is finely balanced, the bitterness is pleasing and finishes dry, but the aftertaste lasts just long enough for you take your next casual sip. It’s really a shame that I don’t have access to this Beer anymore... IslandHaole (1257) - Misawa, JAPAN - MAY 6, 2005
Amber colored, clear with a big foamy off-white head. As is the style with the Canadian IPA’s, a pleasing hop aroma but not over the top hopped. Some unusual underlying herbal/spicy scent I can’t quite name...malt sweetness also present. Bitter, crisp, cedary up front, floral perfumy middle with a biting hop follow. The Kent Goldings must be the flavoring hop. A nicely made traditional IPA. Thanks Josh! Pigfoot (2268) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 15, 2004
Appearance: slight haze, soft peachy hue, effusive carbonation, thick, fluffy head, with delicate lace...marred only by occasional brown flecks on the foam, and floating around the brew.
Aroma: oily, fragrant and fruity, pineapple, tangerine, banana, lemon, a little spicy, too.
Taste: big, bitter hops up front, grabbing hold of the palate and spilling the slick hop oils all over the mouth. Big mouthfeel, bold bitterness..can’t deny ...however, the body is too thin, and it feels imbalanced. The flavor, however, gets juicier and fruity as we go in, and that nearly makes up for it. Almost.
But all in all, a nice, enjoyable, tasty IPA, quite a welcome surprise from Canada.

Pours a cloudy orange/brown with a fluffy with head that thinned a bit then stayed for the duration of the sampling. Aromas of citric hops, floral notes some malt. The flavour was citric, piney hops throughout with a subtle malt background (read couda been more) nice finish. A good I.P.A.
