Bottled. A hazy red beer with a light pinkish head. The aroma has notes of raspberries and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of raspberries, wood, and a bit of malt, leading to a tart finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of jaghana. Pours an almost clear reddish amber with an off-white head with a reddish twist. Fruity and somewhat berry-like aroma. Rich, sweet malty with lots of fruit. Dry and lightly smoky finish. 131011

Non vedo perché dovrei stare a soffermarmi molto su questo...cocktail! Peccato, l’unica disgrazia de Le Sous Bock.

On tap near Paris Nord. Strange red body with thin head. But nose is of malts, hops and corny. No fruit nose whatsoever. Taste also quite malty and quite nice. Not really committed to what it wants to be though.

jaghana (6273) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - JUL 28, 2010
On tap in Paris. A basic beer with light fruit taste, light malty aroma, no hops and an acid presence. Really this beer is not properly done, either it needs more fruit to be really a fruit beer or it needs more body and malt to hide the huge acidity and be a good amber beer.

sebletitje (10293) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JUN 25, 2010
pours amber, off-white head aroma, fruity, with prunelle, light malts and some herbal notes of patxaran. flavors, plenty of floating yeast elements and sediments, touch of patxaran, wheat, fruity prunelle with light bitter finish and brown sugar, dry palate with lingering sweet mouthfeel.

pours a pink-orange, pinkish fizzy head. aroma is herbs and malt and honey. flavor is similar plus vegetables. it’s a bit thin with a rough texture and bitter vegetable finish overall it’s ok, almost astringent though.

White head and a amber body. Aroma are too light for me, but taste ok. Maybe it was the end of the barrel while carbo was quiet flat

Oakes (18756) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 18, 2009
Having never consumed patxaran, I am a little bit handcuffed with this rating, but here goes. It is an effervescent pink-accented amber colour. There’ s a hint of pink in the head as well. The footy, dusty aroma is both floral and fruity. Firm, malty palate with slight berryish note and light florals. Finishes with a creamy, sweet mouthfeel.

Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 11, 2009
Bottle at Sous-Bock. Lovely red-amber color with thick white head. Fresh fruity, almost lagered aroma with bright wild berry notes. Clean, creamy mouthfeel. Super smooth. Has some medicinal qualities but mellow. Berries linger on the tongue. Interesting beer.
