42oz classy plastic bottle pours with a clear gold body that supports a pretty decent near white head of foam. The aroma offers up boozy creamed corn, table sugar and honey dipped pear and apple and then a mild sense of chemicals. The taste delivers smooth moderately sweet creamed corn and then moving quickly into sharp booze notes. To midway this dips deeper into sweetness as the pear and apple fruity esters come to the surface. Into the finish an actual helpful note of cracker maltiness is noticed but this is all too brief. Decent malt liquor. Not really a good beer. The_Osprey (9676) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 20, 2017
August 2017 - Can shared at Chriso's Pre-GBBF Shindig. Thanks! As 'Olde English 800', 7.5%. Pale yellow golden, lightly sparkling, translucent, foamy off-white head leaves light lacing. Aroma is sweetcorn and sawdust. Body is light and a little frothy with tingly carbonation. Taste is biscuity, sodawater, spicy and alcoholic, drying into the finish. Glad to have tried it, but not a beverage I would drink again by choice. (2-4-1-2-3=1.2) Scopey (16265) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 10, 2017
Can at C&R Pre-GBBF Tasting 2017. It pours clear yellow with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, cheap white bread, candy, sugar, cornbread and paper. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter - sweet, sugary, cheap white bread, corn, McDonald's apple pie, grain and lemonade. Light - medium and moderate, foamy carbonation. Boosty alcohol throughout. I have had worse for the style anyhow. Fair. MrTipple (6952) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2017
