Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt, nuts and wood aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good brew. Sample at the Central OH BA Tasting at From The Vine on 06/02/2012: The beer pours a clear mahogany color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of dark malt, bourbon and fruit. Medium body with a bourbon character and notes of sweet malt, brown sugar and a touch of dark fruit. The finish is slightly boozy with a malty aftertaste. Hazy mid-brown colour with a small white head.
Sweet caramel, berries, mild hops and some berries in the aroma.
The flavour is mild hops, mild bitterness, some sweetness and some berries.
Bottle… This beer rocks!… Clear, deep, dark copper ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma is a mélange of bourbon, caramel, milk chocolate and vanilla. Full-bodied with a mildly creamy mouthfeel. The flavor provides heavy bourbon and vanilla with touches of milk chocolate and caramel. Finishes boozy and mostly sweet. Now this is a brown ale! Kudos to landhoney for bringing this bottle back from Charlotte with him! kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - MAY 20, 2012

22 oz. bottle from my NC friends. Pours a deep reddish amber color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet caramel malts, bourbon, ripe fruity notes with a very light woody note. The flavor is sweet caramel, bourbon, big fruity notes, vanilla and light wood character. A touch thin and definitely sweeter. Not too bad overall, but I couldn’t drink this by myself.
