Bottle. Pours a mostly clear yellow body with a thin and very fizzy white head. The nose is a bit off for the style, just some minimal esters and a slight spoiled malt note. The flavor is a bit off based on the style as well, very thin and lacking in the traditional yeast esters I would expect. The mouthfeel is very thin and excessively fizzy. Wondering if maybe there’s a slight bit of an infection going on in here. Not a great example of the style. weihenweizen (4127) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JUN 19, 2014
Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy light orange with large deep golden highlights with small white head. Aroma is clove and banana, medium/light body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is grainy, clove, banana, and some coriander. NeoHippie2 (1074) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - SEP 6, 2013
Bottle courtesy of tmongoose thank you sir! Hazy golden amber pour with a white head. Aromas of yeast, wheat, banana, and spices. Nice banana character with clove and coriander notes. Crisp finish. Decent example of a hefe. beerme31 (705) - Holly Springs, North Carolina, USA - AUG 15, 2013
22oz. Aroma of dough, citrus, clove, and coriander. Pours hazy golden with medium thin white head. Sweet refreshing taste. Light body, thin texture, spice notes, very very fizzy. Way too much carbonation. Really negative effect on the finish for me in an otherwise pretty good hefeweizen.

On tap at Tyler’s, Durham. Warm afternoon, desire for local tick = decision to try Hefe. All things considered, not too bad. Appealing look, bracing dry nose. Light on the esters and the taste - dry and spicy with just a touch of citrus refreshment - in times came across as more of a wit than anything else. Solid. SpringsLicker (3677) - Tennessee, USA - JUL 1, 2013
pours a slightly hazy yellow with a quickly falling white head.
A bit of spice on the nose but I’m not getting any banana or clove.
The flavor is mildly sweet with a touch of banana that i was looking for in the aroma.
Generally Us brewed hefe - weizens are better than their German counterparts simply due to freshness, but this one isn’t going to give the imports much competition. No real faults just very plain. rumproasts (6035) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - APR 21, 2013
Tap. Cloudy golden with small head. Light spice, could use a bit more maybe, but the flavor is pleasant and balanced. DialSquare (5131) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 22, 2012

22oz bottle shared. poured out hazy unfiltered yellow color with limited white head. the aroma was of banana and clove right off, typical hefe. the flavor was about the same banana and clove up front and mild wheat in the middle. not a bad hefe and not a great one..easily drinkable.
