Poured a dark brown with a beige head. Aroma was big artificial raspberey, roast and light bourbon
Flavor was swet, some chocolate. A bit watery and astringent. A shame because event horizon is a great beer. pineypower (3327) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - APR 3, 2016
Bottle. Pours out pretty much black with a moderate tan head. Aroma is of some tobacco, soy sauce, Raspberry, chocolate, oak, brownie mix, light alcohol. Taste is solid, sweet/tart Raspberry, chocolate, tobacco, soy sauce, some oak, brownie mix, light alcohol, little notes of Bourbon, but the raspberries take over a bit. Solid beer, but almost a little too many things going on. Art (3217) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 2, 2016
Bottle shared at kickback. Pours a medium dark brown. Aromas of roast and raspberry. Taste is fairly dry but the beer delivers. It’s maybe slightly over carbed. jeffreylee (17) - HHI, South Carolina, USA - MAR 27, 2016
Fine beer meets fine bourbon barrels. Wonderfully rich and complex with delicious notes of bourbon and honey bunches of oats.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06 vintage 2012 pour opaque black with moderate tan head and purple accents. Nose raspberry, chocolate, raisin, prune. Taste chocolate covered raspberry, dark chocolate, moderate roast mid and late. Red fruit throughout and hint of booze/barrel. Pleasing brew. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - FEB 21, 2016
Bottle about a year old. Aroma is chocolate covered raspberries with some roast and burnt wood. Tastes moderately sweet but the roast counters that well. Chocolate syrup, overripe raspberries, light charred wood. Awesome beer. DiarmaidBHK (4907) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 23, 2015
Draft at Bruisin' Ales. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Big raspberry and bourbon notes on the nose. Tart raspberries compete with boozy bourbon on the tongue. It's flavorful but I'm not sure the flavors complement each other very well on the tongue. Hides it's booze fairly well. Solid impy bourbon stout.

Large shared bottle.
Thick, full body with medium-light carbonation.
Rich malty flavor with subtle but detectable raspberries; hints of dark fruits and dark chocolate. Faint coffee in the aftertaste.

Jet black color with creamy brown head. Aroma has bourbon, raspberries and roasted malts, absolutely well integrated. Taste starts with a nice raspberry note, toffee, slight coffee bitterness and really well integrated bourbon notes. Body is medium-heavy and the ideal amount of carbonation for the style. Beautiful beer overall. Perfect combination of fruit and imperial stout.
