So happy to see plenty of this one on the shelves at my local haunt. Grabbed some and popped a bottle with a friend whilst we played some darts. Now this is the chunkiest beer I have ever poured. A massive amount of yeast sediment floats in this beer. It reminded me of that Orbitz drink from when I was a kid...but I hope these chunks aren’t to be chewed. A cloudy dark honey color with a small white cap of lace. Spotty lace sticks to the glass. Aroma is pretty fresh with lots of citrus - pineapple, grapefruit and starfruit. The body is a bit slick with a slightly oily feel on the finish. Drinks easy enough though. Carbonation level is moderate. Nice hoppy flavor that keeps me sipping as nothing really lingers. It’s not the freshest or juiciest of hops as far as flavor goes, but they impart a nice bitter pop for sure. Mild peppery finish. Sweet and bold, this one is a good one. Nice work, OHB, I much prefer this to it’s milder sibling, Death by Hops.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours clear gold with a tiny white head and a faint citrus aroma. There is a huge pale malt flavor that is quite bitter with an astringent rubbing alcohol finish.

Bomber from Bruisin’ Ales. Pours gold with a slight, transient white head. Aroma of barley wine with cooked pale stone fruits. Med ++ body. Flavor is earthy, pale stone fruits. Not entirely dry, but very hoppy and pretty dang bitter. Even a little astringent. A bit off the regular DIPA path, but very nice and good to drink. Likin’ it.

Draft. Cloudy deep golden color, medium white head. Huge grapefruit aroma. Taste is bitter grapefruit.

It pours yellow with a large off white head. There are aromas of caramel, perfume, floral elements, citrus, and orange. It has a bitter start with floral flavors, some perfume, a bit of caramel sweetness, and orange. It has a moderate feel with moderate carbonation with the floral elements carrying well into the finish. Overall, this is a bitter beer that features the floral and perfume elements with the caramel and other flavors in support roles.

Tap. Pours hazy golden, small off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is super light, melon and pine. Flavor is medium sweet and pretty bitter, citrus zest. Medium body, soft mouthfeel.

Cybercat (6139) - Georgia, USA - AUG 6, 2015
Pours clear amber with a thick and frothy pale buff head. Hoppy, fruity aroma has notes of apple and pear plus a malty undertone and a hint of hay. Flavor is boldly hoppy, resiny and a little woody, fairly bitter, supported by notes of orange, apple and malt. Mouthfeel has typical body and fizz, but leaves a nice hoppy and fruity finish. Redeem one today.

Bottle pour dark gold with moderate white head. Nose dank, woody, some pine. Taste quick pine freshness followed by moderate bitter up front, then more dank hop. Moderate bitter lasting through the finish.

Bottle on 6/25/15. Pours a slightly hazy light orange with a white head. Nose is creamy, little bit of citrus, peach, alcohol. Taste is resin and creamy, malty. Very creamy. Tastes bourbon barrel aged but I don’t think it is. Vanilla, some grapefruit rind, heat, alcohol. Nice and unexpected.

A big resiny DIPA that does the bourbon barrel aging thing the right way. The vanilla and oak from the barrel aging meld well with the super resiny hop flavors while the burn is kept to a minimum. Nice lightly sweet caramel malt backbone adds some balance. Pours a pretty light amber with a sticky head.
