Smell is of medium malt but very light..taste is same...not a lot of diversity...malty selzer water really....boring and bland...had at warmouth for Brittani's farewell HH nimbleprop (8815) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 17, 2017
Sampled at CBC, pours a clear caramel with some thin, head. Nose has stale bread, some yeast, caramel, candy corn. Flavor follows, cheap malt, caramel, corn. Finishes sweet, flabby. Nope. can8ianben (1583) - State College, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 8, 2017
Interesting nutty but clear bodied lager. I expected more of a reddish tint given the name of the beer, but it was a lovely brown pour with much more flavor than usual for a typical beer in this style. sudomorph (1192) - Barrie, Ontario, CANADA - APR 12, 2016
12oz bottle. Pours a clear ruby caramel with a thin, off white head. Aroma has notes of caramel, toffee, slight traditional hops, and a hint of dark fruits. Taste is balanced with caramel, toffee, slight dark fruits, hints of roast and chocolate, and some hope bitterness at the end. Medium body and carbonation. Clean in the mouth with a dry finish. Overall fairly standard but done well. TAR (2794) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - FEB 21, 2016
Clear chestnut. Wispy white foam. Mellow aroma of pumpernickel bread, toasty malt, unsweetened chocolate, Hallertau (fennel seed), and hints of plummy esters, rock candy and tomato. Firm and loose carbonation. Opens with papery, wafer cookie malt and a faint grip of toast. An encroaching fruity twang induces a slickness which hinders the cleanliness and obscures the vividness of the malt. Subtle saccharine sweetness sits atop a bouncy honeyed-biscuit Munich characteristic. Some juiciness is apparent, though the unripe plum displaces much of the richer textures. Unsweetened chocolate fullness helps with the body, as do some toasty dextrins. Hops are subtle but spicy throughout. Malt is edgeless and well extracted, though, with notable depth and zero huskiness. Finishes quietly but cleanly and balanced, with spicy Hallertau, tobacco and an earthy malt softness prevailing late. Aside from the fruitiness and the tomato note in the aroma, this is a surprisingly clean and quaffable lager that only needs less fruitiness and deeper, more-dynamic malt to augment the relatively thin body. Enjoyable.

pours a nice reddish brown, which brings promises of quality appearance and taste, but the lack of head, a very thin almost nonexistent somewhat carbonated lacing, leaves you disappointed, however the aroma pours out of the bottle with scents of licorice. The taste is a bit weak, which can be explained by the near bear abv of less than 4%. slight taste of licorice, and caramel. finishes a bit watered down and soft. finishes too quickly. not a bad beer but not a great one! shrubber85 (11666) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JAN 2, 2015
Bottle. Walnut and barley wort/malt aroma. Dark amber with moderate head. Nutty toffee malt and hay flavor. Decent body. A bit under-attenuated but still pleasant Patrickctenchi (6750) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - DEC 26, 2014

Pours clear, dark amber-red with frothy beige head.
Caramel, chocolate scent.
Sweet, light, watery caramel malt flavor....
Nothing bad about this one, but it’s just too weak and watery for the style......no personality or depth.....
Slight roast flavor. Very good lacing. Crisp. Drinkable. Part of a sampler. Busick (398) - Lake Wylie, South Carolina, USA - JUL 6, 2014
Tried during a paddle taster and was glad that I only had 2 oz. of this beer! Not a favorite or a second taster.
