Bottle---the pour finished with a large head. The color is a pale brown with lacing around the edge of the beer. Aroma was malt, caramel and sugar. The taste was the same with some candy like toffee, slight bitter taste in the finish. OK beer but it needs to get everything together to improve. Bottle at the local. This is what it is. Not the best vienna I have had but its better than most schwill. A tad overly corney and vegetable-ly at times. Not one I plan to revisit. jtd6628 (362) - North Carolina, USA - AUG 14, 2011
Tasted at twin city taps. So so beer. They did hit a ruby colored lager but missed the taste it is just an unbalanced mess. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 21, 2011
Thanks to emacgee... dark amber with a copper center, clear, big tope head, very cloud like with great retention, looks great... really cheap generic nose, caramel and skunk, lots of corn, and some coffee, not great... the taste is even worse!, super flat, devoid of flavor at the front then a chemical skunk finish... pass on this DukeBrewDevil (732) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - MAY 19, 2011
Bomber. Clear, bight red color with a small white head. Touch of yeast and grain on the nose. Only a bit more malt sweetness than a pale lager and a similarly short finish. Not bad, but boring and not worth going back to.

Pours a dark amber with a small white head. No lacing on my clean glass. Smells metallic and malty. A little bit of corn, sugar and cabbage. Same in the taste with a bit more in the malt. Slight bitterness mixed with a nice sweetness in the palate. Not a bad beer. Just expected a lot more for a lager, especially one with such a low abv. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - FEB 12, 2011
Bottle pours a clear amber/red with a thin off white head. Sweet malt scent. Caramel taste with some hops. CanIHave4Beers (4184) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - OCT 22, 2010
Pours a deep red, maybe a tad lighter than something I would call "ruby" but it’s getting there. The beer has a medium head that retains it’s self nicely. Some fruity and bready malt shows up in the aroma along with mild vegetal notes. Generally it smells nice enough but the aroma is pretty reserved all together. The flavor is really very nice, and consequently a mildly roasty fruity lager with some mild snappy hops is pretty much exactly what I’m in the mood for at the moment. I’m glad I decided to open this up. There’s not a whole lot to dig into here, it’s a very clean cery malt forward beer that is really well balanced with a bit of zesty hop bitterness. Very full flavored for a >4% beer. jrob21 (3687) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - AUG 29, 2010
Bottle back from bestway in greensboro. Pour is a delicious looking and moniker honoring ruby red color. Nice tan head. A little nuttiness in the aroma along with a candy sugar sweetness. Flavor is smooth, a little creamy, and slightly sweet. The finish has an earthiness to it that is rather nice. Some grassy hops lightly added to finish you off. Nice drink here that could go down way too easy and way too frequently. unclemattie (4358) - Georgia, USA - AUG 24, 2010
Tap. Amber red color, light tan head. Aroma of toasted malts and seaweed. Lots of salt water / beach smell in the nose of this beer. Kinda odd, I’ve never experienced a scent like that before. Completely flavorless. I tasted nothing. No sweetness, no malt characteristics. Not much fizz either. I sent it back. Booo.
