Orange pour with a white head. The aroma has some strong coffee and orange citrus notes. The flavor is similar with a strong mix of chocolate and coffee as well as some orange citrus. Low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAR 23, 2015

Shared a bottle. Looks can be deceiving, out of the bottle it looks to be a pleasurable experience. The aroma had chili peppers with a faint hint of dark roast coffee. The body was hot, like biting into a chili pepper. Bitter all the way to the end. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - DEC 29, 2014

Pours a nice amber with a touch of white head. Primary aroma of coffee, but not the strong coffee of a coffee stout. Taste is an odd/unique combo of coffee and hops. I can see why some reviewers noted other failed coffee IPAs, but that this one works.

Nice slightly hazy tan coloured body with some hints of blonde and gold and a nice, two centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of pungent hops, strong coffee essence and a bit of malt noticeable. Medium-bodied; Strong coffee flavour with a lot of bitterness up front from that and the plentiful hops as well, all coupled with a fairly balanced malt backbone and hints of grass and herbs hit on the back. Aftertaste shows the two primary flavours well with coffee coming out slightly ahead of the hops, but a little maltiness is around along with some alcohol notes which are strong near the finish. Overall, a decent coffee-based IPA with a lot of flavour and a surprisingly balanced and nuanced finish. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased earlier in the day from Total Wine in Raleigh, North Carolina (Crossroads) on 02-August-2014 sampled at my brother-in-law’s house here in Raleigh on 02-August-2014.
