Decent scotch ale. Aroma fits a traditional profile with dark malt, dark ripe fruit and a little peat. Flavor’s like nose, again traditionally on the sweet side. Body’s a bit chewy, excellent. Very good beer. nearbeer (5557) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 10, 2017
650 ml. bottled 05/17/2016. Deep mahogany with a lasting film of cream. .Nose is earthy chocolate and toffee. Tastes of vanilla toffee, whiskey, chocolate and a touch of salty charred oak. The finish eventually develops the lingering earthy, smoky peat touches that I love in this style. Medium-heavy body has smooth near-medium fizz and a very drinkable balance even with the requisite big malt slant of the style. jrob21 (3772) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 9, 2017
Bomber from Bestway. Smooth flat cola flavors like a good scotch ale should be in my book. Candy sugar sweetness. Finish is caramel and sweet. Solid effort and pretty good to style. drfabulous (8468) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - FEB 7, 2017
From the bottle share. Caramel and brown sugar and a light body. Decent scotch ale overall.
