It pours cooper with a tan head. It has low head retention. It has aromas of dark fruits, plums, malty rich elements, some wheat, bread, some caramel, alcohol, bananas and spices. The caramel is the first thing in the taste with wheat, bread, plums, a hint of banana and some spices. There is a slight hint of alcohol in the taste. It has a full body with some bitterness and alcohol warming. Overall, it is balanced towards the malts with the fruit flavors providing a solid background. The flavors are tilted towards the caramel. Bottle. Crystal clear amber color, tan head with solid lacing, see pic please. Huge caramel aroma, subtle smoke. Taste is lightly peppery, very malty, lightly bitter finish. Tasty. weihenweizen (4127) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JUL 3, 2016
Refrigerated brown bomber, bottled on February 22, 2016 poured into a weizen glass. Clear Amber small beige head. Aroma is caramel malt, medium body, medium carbonation, and good medium-bubble lacing. Taste is caramel malt, bread, and a little alcohol. I like more clove and banana in my weizen blocks. jtclockwork (17284) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 20, 2016
Bottle - Not sure why this was retired. Bought it at the brewery a month ago. Anyway, pour caramel brown white head - nose/taste of banana, caramel, clove - medium body. Aurelius (5570) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Notes of boiled peanuts in the aroma -- for those of you from the south, that’s a good thing. Great wax-sealed bottle/bomber, decent label; slightly misty. 2011 vintage, sampled 2013. Dry, medium astringency, ample bittering, a little boozy and woody. A little medicinal. Oily mouthfeel with an alco-bitter finish. Honestly, I didn’t enjoy this very much, but it’s probably due more to the the style than the execution. Thanks, LuckyDog.

Aroma is malt forward. Pours a cloudy amber with little to no head. Sweet malt taste up front and funky finish taste I couldn't identify. Medium bodied and minimal carbonation. Overall, I didn't like the finish taste.

2011 Bottle. Big vegetal and rotten fruit nose. Flavor is similar. Yeast seems to have taken over in a bad way. No thanks. maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUL 2, 2012
Pours an amber color with some orange hints to it and a minimal flat head. Some hints of citrus to it with a sweetness that’s almost reminiscent of banana. There is a sweetness to this beer that’s almost reminiscent of a Belgian style. Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - MAY 18, 2012

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-heavt banana, light-moderate, citrus, and clove. It pours a hazy dark orange with lots of sediment and a small orange tinged off-white head. The flavor starts with moderate banana, fruit, and a hint of caramel. The finish light-moderate clove, light pepper, and just a hint of citrus. It’s medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Pours a cloudy golden orange color with a half finger white head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Earthy hop aroma with hints of grassy soil and zesty spice. Peppery with some light citrus. Not much malt or yeast character.
Medium bodied with crisp carbonation and zesty spice. Much hoppier than expected with some earthy, grassy flavor along with some pepper, coriander and citrus. Some bready yeast but faint. Not much else going on. Bland and too bitter for the style.
