2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draft, at Olde Main. Well, light foam lacing for the last of my sampler (8 5 oz pils glasses for $6). Color is a light brown, just a little cloudy. Again, the taste is spoiled by some sourness thatís either line problems or too warm a ferment. Iím vacillating between generosity and disappointment here, but I hope this is because itís a new place with room for improvement.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub. The brewer called this a "Nut Brown Ale" when I visited. Brown in color with a white head. Has a fruity, malty aroma. Conspicuous absence of a toasted aroma or flavor. Fruity, malty and sweet. The Pale ale, nut brown and hefe all must use the same yeast which is imparting a clearly banana fruity sweetness to the beers.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Red with an evident, caramel malt aroma. Very smooth with a mellow bitterness and light hazelnutty finish.
