quite a good sweet stout. would like more oomph in the roasted malts and maybe some burnt sugars in the backbone & some juicy steak-burgers!
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has roasted malts with dark grains and a hint of earthiness. Flavor has a bit of an earthy smoke note with roasted malts and dark grains supporting. mjmoen (536) - - MAY 8, 2015
Pours a dark brown color with tan head. Dark chocolate and coffee flavors. Unpleasant bitter finish. It does get better as it warms, but not much. Ratman197 (14838) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - AUG 16, 2014
Bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting brown head. Aromas of roastiness, dried fruit, bitter chocolate and light coffee. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bitter chocolate, roastiness and light licorice with a smooth lingering roasty finish. kaser (6312) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 30, 2014
