Draft. Truly a “black patent malt” stout. Taste is full of French roast coffee and Special Dark chocolate. There are hops here, but they only say “hi” after you swish it around with your tongue. Strong taste that cuts through a mouthful of salty chips.

Had on draft at the brewpub. Definitely a dry, medium bodied stout, with notes of coffee and chocolate present. Overall, not too bad.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a black with medium tan head. Some lacing. Coffee aroma. Flavor of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. Lots of roasted maltiness. Nice bitterness. Dry finish. On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and sweet malt. Flavor of sweet malt with some roasty notes. This is a rather plain stout flavor-wise, although it is easy drinking. Overall a decent stout if you’re not looking for something super special.
