2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
330 ml bottle. Golden body with a white head. Aroma is weak grainy with some hops. I find the flavor lighter than the standard Aass pilsner and that’s bad. Weak malt, minimum bitterness and minimum excitement.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
(Bottle). Another contact brew from Aass, a local attempt in Sandnes town to fill their part of the void after Ringnes closed Tou Bryggeri in Stavanger - I asked the storekeeper whether this "extra proud beer" was identical with some other Aass pils, but he claimed it was a brew of its own (he had to, probably). Anyway, not much here to distinguish it from the average continental style pilsener. At least they have used a decent amount of Saazer hops, which makes the aroma quite good. Colour is very light golden, moderate head. Flavour is quite "neutral" but refreshing (not malty). Could still do with a little more bitterness.
