Brewed in honor of the rock band D.A.D. in connection to their 25th years of anniversary. It is a luxury pilsner not significantly different from others of the same type. It carries on a bit more malty character, and a light retracted hop bitterness. Otherwise there are no special traits to be highlighted by it. Taste and richness is on the plain. Can, courtesy of tarjei. Enjoyed to the sound of the tune the beer is named after. A clear, golden beer with lots of carbonation, producing a finger-thick off-white head that doesn’t last. Grainy, fruity nose with a pleasant hoppyness. Apples and peaches. Thin and surprisingly flat on the palate, with some bitterness towards the end. There’s fruityness, some pale malty sugar and a touch of higher alcohols. Short, fruity, warming finish. Not bad, not good. Drinks quite easily though. I hope this isn’t DAD’s idea of a good beer. 101119 gunnfryd (14899) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 26, 2011

It is always good for the business to name a beer after the nation’s greatest rock band, and as a heavy metal fan I must admit that I had to try the beer, allthough I expected nothing more than a plain all-you-can-drink pale lager.
This lager was a bit darker than usual and turned towards being copper-coloured; at the same time bearing a nice head. However, the aroma confronted my bad thoughts that momentarily had sunken into oblivion, when the beer could only present some butter, yeast and malts, which is, to express it decently, not very ostentatious. On the other hand the flavor was quite decent. The beer contained a lot of honeyish notes, a good bunch of maltyness, sweetness and was also quite bitter compared to other pale lagers - in some way there was a kind of a pricking taste / feeling to it, though. Hmm. Medium palate. The better end of pale lagers.
Can. aroma of malt and hay. Golden yellow colour with small white head. Mild pale lager with a little more malt and grass. fonefan (49423) - VestJylland, DENMARK - NOV 6, 2010
