Bottle. Clear medium red amber - brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, raisin, plum, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Bottled. A murky red-brown beer with a huge orange-tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of citrus, dusty hops, prunes, and fruit. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of over ripe fruits shortly followed by the alcohol that gives the beer body, and tickles the tongue. The flavor also contains notes of prunes, wood, and caramel. The finish is dry and alcoholic. joergen (27994) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 31, 2007

Bottle. Pours a hazy darkish amber color with a small off-white head. Sweetish malty hoppy aroma with some nutty hints. Sweet malty sugary hoppy bitter flavor. Long warming malty finish with a long hoppy bitter aftertaste. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 22, 2007
(Bottle 25 cl) Courtesy of faroeviking. Pours a hazy, dark amber with a creamy, light brown head. Aroma is overripe fruit, oily hops and alcohol. Very full body. Sweetish notes of caramel and overripe fruit and a somewhat medicinal touch. The bitterness is surprisingly subdued - especially considering it being a Ølfabrikken brew. I guess more sorta an English style Barleywine. 171207 madmitch76 (24564) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2012

Cloudy red brown beer with thick frothy biscuit coloured head. Nose of malt and wet dog! Creamy malt head leads to a softish palate. Strong aged malt with traces of chocolate. Some well repressed hops and a little aniseed. A well rounded and fullsome barleywine.
Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma and taste are fruitsand berries, alcohol, malt and caramel. Nicely balanced. TBone (17446) - Pori, FINLAND - OCT 27, 2009
Bottled 25cl (batch #262, BB 10/2012) @Pikkulintu
Deep ruby color, small steady beige head. Malts, molasses, plums, dark fruits, some vanilla in the nose. Still quite sweet, licorice, plums, molasses (caramel), liquerish soft palate. It has just right amount of alcohol in the flavor. As description says, quite English style barley wine. Pleasant.
