rich sweet dark chocolate aroma with a huge bourbon and rye character that leaves a bit of alcohol in its wake,
very rich malt flavor, lots of dark chocolate, bourbon sweetness, the oak and rye combine to create a dryness, a light tartness arises to combine with a bitterness for a complex and balanced finish,
Aroma: 9/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 8/10; Palate: 8/10; Overall: 18/20
aged 1 year in the barrel and 1 year in the bottle.
Jet black pour, tiny tan head w/ most of the carbonation having left the beer, Smoky roasty scothy aroma, a little peat, very intense scotch like flavor. Full well coated palate. Big flavor, some light tannons, touch of peat, lightly smoky, hint of leather, light butter, a light tart coccoa is left on the tongue after you swallow. I like this, but you had better like scotch. Roasted aroma of smoke and whisky with notes of alcohol.
Roasted flavour of whsiky and smoke with notes of alcohol.
Smoked and warming alcoholic finish.
The whisky is a bit too dominating for my liking.

Thank you for shring this one Alex (Sick_boy282). Pours with a black body topped by a pencil thin light brown head with some lacing. The aroma is roasty and smokey (?) with a malty undertone. Bottle shared by SpringsLicker with myself, Suttree, and decaturstevo. Pours black with amber edges and very small tan head. I’ll take credit for the "doctor’s office on fire" line... the aroma is smoke, iodine, hospital, molasses, and a few coffee notes. The flavor is smoky with some grapes, fig jam, coffee, scotch. Wow, that’s one tight cork. Black almost no head. Powerful aroma - rather medicinal and very smokey.I’m not sure whom I’m stealing this line from, but somebody described it as smelling "like a doctor’s office...that happens to be on fire" - that’s pretty accurate. Big flavors of coffee and scotch, with big fruit notes - figs? dates? plus some blueberry and blackberry. Nice, tasty stuff. How is it that his Danish beer is only rated by Ohioans? Out of the bottle at C-Bus 7. Dark brown beer with a whispy off white head. Nose of scotch and dark sugar. Flavor has lots of the potato scotch notes with smokey peat. This is a one note beer, but it is an interesting experiment in different barrel aging.
