Clear medium brown color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, wood, furit - berry, plum, apple. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle, 75cl corked, at Esbjerg Beerfestival. A hazy, dark amber beer with a small, off-white head. Slightly roasted nose with dried fruits, prunes mostly, some berries and a herbal touch. Bitter and sweet flavor with prunes, roasted malts and some berries. Some herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body. I’m not really sure if I like this one. It’s both good and unusual. Maybe a revisit is needed, but I don’t think that will ease my uncertainty. 091022 after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JAN 25, 2010
750, corked and baled. Thanks, Christian! Pours a hazy dark brown with a loose creamy tan head. Mild nose of sweet cream and bits of red apples and apple skins. Creamy medium body with tingling tight tiny carb. Caramel, sweet cream, and red apples on the mid palate. Lingering sweet finish that somehow manages to be refreshing. Doesn’t show the 7%, drinks very easily.
