Backlog rating from RBESG 2008, grand tasting: Amber, big creamy head. Wooden spicy orange aroma. Fine citric, a hint wood carrying into a pine aftertaste. Medium dry body, a bit dust. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 7, 2010
Bottled. RBESG 2008. DrBeer (862) - Solna Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 11, 2009
Hazy charneol colour, creamy off-white head. Fruity nose, with seemingly diminished hops, and left is a malty backbone with almond paste. Bit vineous with berries alongside, with residual sugars and really malty. The finish is peppery alcoholic, which I could do without. Bit harsh bitterness/finish in the end.
Hazy orange-brown beer with thin white head. Christian (13867) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 4, 2008
Aroma of syrup, fudge, solvent and hops. Somewhat acidic.
A flavour of alcohol and pineapple. Alcoholic and sweet with dry bitterness.
RBESG June 2008. Hazy orange with some floaters. Lasting off-white head, leaving some lace. Fruity yeast aroma, with bubblegum, and some oxidation noticeable. Dry and malty flavour with a yeast note causing a little harsh astringency in the finish. KimJohansen (10497) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - SEP 3, 2008
Murky amber with tiny white short lasting head. Sweet yeasty and quity vinious with ripe fruits, caramel and hoppy notes leading to a mild bitter finish.

Bottle (RBESG 08) : Hazy amber, lacy beige head; deep caramelly-malty nose, some fruitiness, some liquorice detectable; quite sweet, quite full bodied; a bit thinner in the fruity-malty, vinous finish. O.K. ......... DSG (15301) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - AUG 9, 2008
(6/29/08) Bottle sample at RBESG08 grand tasting in Plzen. Almost clear amber color. Aroma of some malt and quite a lot of hoppiness, slightly piney, and hints of alcohol. Sweetish flavor with caramel notes at first, continues with light hoppy bitterness with pine and hints of citrus. Medium-bodied. thewolf (12855) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUL 13, 2008

[thank you Ungstrup/Hildigöltur]
Pours a muddy, pale brown with a big, frothy, beige head on top. Aroma is spicy, malty, some pepper and raisins. Medium carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is yeasty, sweet, lightly vinious. Okay.

Side by side with the 2007. Poured an opaque brown colour... almost a yeast shot. Damn. Thick head. Sourish and malty aroma. Fine maltiness in the taste, quite aromatic, with complex notes of raisins (if that makes any sense). Liked it better than the 2007.
Bottle at the RBESG08 Grand tasting. Alround rating: Sweet toffee caramel character, some roastyness. Goodish, but a full bottle would be the death!
