This is indeed an old ale. Exp 2006. No carbonation or head. Dark hazy brown. Portwine nice stale almost wooden aromas. Fine balanced gentle sweetness finishing in a medium dryness. Delicate brew from a pioner in Danish microbrewery's history.
Bottled at Kobehavnske Oldage, May 2006. Mid brown colour. Slightly cloudy. Vinous aroma, with a fair amount of malty caramel in evidence. Some dried fruit and stewed prunes in the flavour. Distinctly woody mouthfeel but accompanied by a subtle sweetness. Just a touch of sharp bitterness on the finish. Quite nice.

Dark mahogany with a moderate head, that leaves a good lace. The aroma has notes of plum, raisin, malts and caramel. The mouthfeel is oily. The flavour is an explosion of roasted malt with notes of candy sugar, burnt caramel, dark fruit and a hint of licorice. The bitterness is very light, but just right. It’s kind of vinous, and it’s a truly nice Old Ale. BeerBiker (1414) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 28, 2007

Very small head and almost no aroma. Sweetburnt in a light way. Some bitterness and sherrynotes ending up in a short bitter aftertaste. Had expected more. Christian (13815) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 24, 2006
Hazy dark ruby with the most beautiful small and light brown creamy head. All kinds of dried fruits in the aroma - prunes, dates, figs, raisins mixed with some leather, malt, molasses and bubblegum notes. Intense flavour, roast malt, coffee, chocolate, dried fruits and a hint of alcohol. A hint of hops in the finish tells us that this is from Ølfabrikken after all.

Bottle – close to expiration. I probably should have had this sooner as the head and palate was very flat and disappointing. The aroma and flavour was fine though – lots of sweet raisin/prunes and chocolate balanced by a pleasantly bitter finish. Dedollewaitor (16383) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 30, 2006
Dark brown with little quick disappearing bubbly white head. Aroma and taste of sweet malts (roasted) & dark fruits - plums. little carbonation. Filling texture. Some coffee & smoke in here as well. A lot of sweetness. Different but enjoyable! rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 14, 2006
Dark brown colour. Earthy aroma, with notes of hops, plums and chewing gum. Dry-ish flavour profile, with notes of dried fruits(that is prune), and a sweetish maltiness. No bitterness(of course). Short finish, with a hint of bitterness in the background somewhere. gnoff (10914) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 12, 2006
