UPDATED: FEB 22, 2006 On tap. Haleluja! Thank you for this brilliant porter. Holy moly! I am lost for words. This must be on my top 5. Wow! 1FastSTi (3360) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 15, 2005
Thanks to JCapriotti for sharing this! Thanks to his Secret Santa for ths hand bottled cask sample. The beer is a really coating beer. Has lots of legs. Thin head. Deep brown/black body. The aroma is largely espresso and desert with brown sugar. Has a light earthyness to it. The flavor is really good. This is what a porter should be. Robust malts that don’t remind me of stouts. It’s got that coffee and dry roasty espresso flavor. Sorta has a light raspberry and definitely has a graham cracker flavor. Mmmm... The palate is dry and creamy. A touch tart, but that is likely intentional. World class for porters. MIBRomeo (2570) - Wisconsin, USA - DEC 15, 2005

Roasted malts and chocolate notes some light fruits strawberry, some definate coffee notes a nice tart finish. Very good porter.

Hand-bottled sample kindly shared by Jason and sent from a mystery Danish Secret Santa. Cloudy black body and no head, but I’m not going to knock it on that. Big aroma nonetheless - epsresso, alcohol, coffee cake. Big ass-kicking flavor! Tart, oily black malt throughout with sweet chocolate cake underneath. The finish exhibits some raspberry-tart hops, grahm craaker/chocolate cake sweetness and coffee beans. Not-thin mouthfeel that would have been helped by a bit of carbonation. This is the tartest porter I’ve ever tasted - very unique! LoveCaissa (873) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 15, 2005
On tap at "Plan B", Copenhagen. Wow, this is a very impressive porter with loads of heavy flavours. Pitch, pitch black. Sweet roasted aroma with chocolate and coffee. Flavour is very rich too with hints of dark fruits and smoke. Balanced and dry bitter finish. Basically, this is an improved and fruitier version of the wonderful "Limfjordsporter" from Thisted.

On tap. Very dark almost black, with a great creamy head. Amazing aroma of roastedness and hints of chocolate. Flavour of roastedness with a nice smooth taste. Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 11, 2005
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2009 (On tap) Pitch black with a small, creamy, light brown head. Very roasted/burned aroma. Quite full-bodied, with notes of burned malt leaving a dry bitterness. Underlying sweetness, but rounded and very smooth. Very classical Porter of superior quality. 281005 Emil (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 6, 2005

Bottle at KØ07 as Eksportporter. Good roasted aroma and flavour. Very black colour, small brown head. Nice roasted coffee flavour. Some hoppiness, getting sour, but nice. Overall quite roasted, but semi-balanced. 6 3 7 3 15
Can, 7.5%. Roasted aroma with some grassy hoppiness. Quite black colour, small brown head. Nice flavour, roasted with some chocolate. Some barley bitterness in the aftertaste. The carbonation is quite rough. 7 3 8 3 18
Can, 2 years past BB date. The aroma is slightly oxidised, but the beer seems quite fresh. Also quite flavourful still, but the hoppiness is gone, leaving only a bit of jam. A lot better fresh, IMO.
Bottle, 7.5%. The new old Ølfabrikken Porter, best before 2013, 3.5 years ago. Good coffee aroma. Black colour, seems unclear. Small light brown head. The flavour has a really great coffee note. Mild but flavourful, not bitter. Creamy coffee with a salty touch in the finish. 9 4 9 4 18
Draught at Ølbaren. Served in Ølfabrikken glass.
Black w/ nice, creamy tan head. The aroma is roasted and coffeeish, slightly sweet, and pleasantly citrusy. The flavor is perfectly balanced: lots and lots of chocolate, coffee, solid malt backbone and gorgeous citrus hop presence. Delicious, bitter and smooth finish. Full, pleasant mouthfeel. Highly quaffable. A superb beer.
