Comments: Sweet, malt-focused Belgian strong with enormous toasty caramel flavours, more than well contained alcohol and a rich, full, foamy palate. More great stuff from Christian.
Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2007yngwie (17185) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 20, 2007
Hazy light amber color. Very powerful and malty brew, well done, warming, strong body.
Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Served reddish-golden, almost clear, and with a small beige head. Heavy on the nose, with fruits, dried fruits, malt, sweetness and raisins. Yes, I know raisins are dried fruits, but after a good sniff, the raisins shines through. Quite sweet, full mouthfeel with malts and dried fruits. The finish is lasting and sweet, and some alcohol is present as well, but not much for a beer at 11% ABV. It’s a shame the distribution for the beers from Ølfabrikken are so lousy. Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Pours out in a cloudy dark amber colour with a small beige foam. Big bittersweet, and alcoholc aroma of dried fruit, blackberries, licorice, black pepper and alcohol. Full-bodied with strong notes of licorice, berries, spices, dades and alcohol with a surprisingly hoppy finish of dense grassy hops. Strong notes of spices, licorice, raspberries and alcohol. A Mes rate:
Draught at Ølfestival 2007. Absolutely bonkers beer. Dark hazy amber colour. Aroma of hops, sweet grapes and coca cola. Flavour is just madness. Like drinking a very harsh, alcoholic, thick and stupidly sugary kriek. Syrupy dried fruit notes and some delicate spice around the edges. It’s all too much truth be told but it’s a hell of an experience that I would heartily recommend. madsberg (11776) - Søborg, DENMARK - MAY 15, 2007
Draught. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Dense off white head. Sweetness, spice, berries, fruits and cherries in the aroma. Flavour as well is full of berries. Sweetness, fruits and light spice. Alcohol notable. Is medium bodied. Light alcoholdense and fruity end. Nice. sunevdj (4123) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - MAY 15, 2007
Ølfestival 2007. On tap. Pours a clear light brown with a large off-white, diminishing head. Beautiful lacings. Quite sweet with heavy aromas of prunes, dates and syrup. Full bodied and kind of creamy. Soft carbonation with a longish, chalky finish.
