750 ml bottle sampled in 2009. Golden body with a nice white head. Mild, nice spicy aroma, slightly floral as well. Flavor is nice, quiet light and refreshing, delicate spicy and some yeast. Fine body and decent aftertaste. Nice Saison with a rather subdue caracter. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 6, 2011

Cloudy yellow brown beer. Light dry palate. Mellow malt - tastes a little aged. Mild floral sweetness and then sweet fruit coming through at the finish along with some aniseed. Overdry and a slightly odd but a nice experiment.

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop. Flavour is fruit, malt, hop, spices. OK beer. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 28, 2009
Bottle, 75cl corked. Looking quite nice in the glass, with a clear golden body, topped by a nice white head of moderate size. Fruity, herbal nose on the hoppy side, with a touch of cellar. The malts are left in the background. In the mouth though, it’s more evident, leaving a grainy print, with herbal bitterness, some sweetness and a touch of cellar to fill out the blanks. Medium, quite dry mouthfeel. Easy to drink. Wonderful wrapping with a contents not matching it. Still, a nice beer. (090116)

75 cl bottle, at tasting with yngwie, gunnfryd and Beer2000. Batch # 260, BB 01.03.09. Clear golden to light amber color, fine white head. Aroma is spicy and very Belgian. Flavor typical saison, with fine spices. Very drinkable, and of course a shame that the old Ølfabrikken is history. fonefan (49355) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUL 15, 2008

[Batch #260]. Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, wheat, moderate hoppy, fruity, moderate yeasty, spicy - camomile. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet, light light acidic and moderate to light heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (200508)
Slightly hazy, honey wine-like orange beer has practically no head. Aromas: herbs, strongy sweet apple, berries. In the beginning flavor is very much like belgian ales and changes soon to some toffee and fruit-like with camomile. Maybe calvados-like also. Apricot in the end. Alcohol can be felt but comlex flavors conceal it totally from flavor. Very much herbs in aftertaste. Palate is much but softly carbonated and quite light-bodied. Very refreshing. Alcohol well hidden. A delicate fruity aroma and flavor (from yeast). Camomille in flavor Boutip (6380) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 17, 2008
Bottle courtesy of Thewolf: Poured a dirty beige color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of spices and fruity ester is quite interesting with some light funky notes. Taste is also dominated by some light spices with some great fruity esters with a great malt backbone which may includes wheat. Full body with limited filtration and great carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Overall, I thought it was a refreshing example of the style with some good complexity to offer as well.
