Bottle shared by Tmoney99 in April 09 from notes. Pours dark brown in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, chocolate, sweet honey, some dark fruit character, smooth, hides the abv pretty well, I wish this brewery didn’t end up falling apart because they used to put out good stuff. Bottle 0.75l at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Bottled 11/12-2007. Best Before 1/12-2017. Colour is deep black with slightly brownish white head. Aromas and flavours: Hints of coffee and chocolate, elements of red wine and roasted malts. This is very heavy stuff and makes me sweat. This one has aged very well and doesn’t taste old. hotstuff (5208) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 11, 2013
Rated on 4-11-2009 at Fort Wayne Gathering. 2005 Bottle. This beer pours a tan small head with poor retention, opaque body, no carbonation, and next to no lacing. The Aroma is malt, coffee and roasty. The Taste is malty, roasty, bitter, and alcohol. The Palate is lightly tingly and this is a medium bodied beer. Overall, this beer being a 2005 bottle has held up quite well and the flavors are quite tasty. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 12, 2013
(750ml bottle, courtesy of thirdeye11) Pours an opaque black body with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, sour dough bread, cardboard, and smoke. Flavor of chocolate, roasted malt, smoke, subtle honey, dark fruit, vanilla, and light oxidation. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Rating No. 4,500. 2007 bottle shared by thirdeye11 in August 2012. Dark brown pour with an off-white head. The aroma is full of dark fruit, chocolate and smoke. The flavor is similar. The smoke comes up front, with some chocolate, caramel and dark fruit. Fairly sweet overall. For some reason I wrote "smoked oysters" on my notes, but not sure why I did that. Thick mouthfeel and low carbonation.

Säuerlich malziger Antrunk, intensiv, angenehm hopfig, kurz brennend. Vollmundig, trotz der starken Malzigkeit süffig. Konstant säuerlich, wenig bitter werdend. Weinnoten, hopfig, Kirsche. 10/11/12/12/10/12 Hermod (8111) - Vantaa, FINLAND - DEC 2, 2012

Bottle, 15 cl, at BAJT porter week 2012.
Black with a light brown head.
Aroma: chocolate, licorice, musty cellar (no, not in a bretty way).
Taste: salty licorice, light sour, vinous, red berries, soy sauce, a bit musty. Dry finish.
This is actually tasting a bit old, but still tasty. Very happy to get to try it.

Bottle 75 cl. BBE 1/12/2017. Sweet, more to the portwine in aroma. Quite strong and boozy on taste, some salty notes along with soya sauce in taste. Something wrong with the bottle? A bit weird in taste, some old coffee perhaps too. Some bitterness in aftertaste
