Sampled on draft at the Pratt St Ale House this beer poured a very dark brown with orange highlights and a small creamy beige head that left great lacing. The aroma was dry and bitter with a note of coffee. The flavor was dry, bitter and woody with hints of bacon and dark fruit. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 19, 2015
Nice medium body porter with a small hint of cocoa nibs and a touch of roast. Bricks (1150) - Delaware, USA - JUL 15, 2015
It’s basically your typical above average porter. Dark, roasted aroma, moderately drinkable. Nothing remarkable. drjoeng (1380) - SINGAPORE - JUN 18, 2015
5.9% ABV. Victorian Porter.
Dark Brown. 25ºSRM.
Vanilla and sweet malts in the nose.
The palate has some nice dry astringent notes of ume. Some pleasant citrus-like bitter hops, but more of a preserved palate rather than being fresh.
Some serious properly roasted quality dark malts. A very pleasant outing. gueuze (971) - - JUN 5, 2015
Farbe schwarz.

Tap. Clear light brown body with a small wispy beige head. Nose is a nice mix of roast coffee and chocolate malt with some light hops. The flavor is dry and slightly grainy with chocolate malt and coffee on the finish. Nice snap of bitterness on the back end. Lingering coffee finish. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation and a slight grainy huskiness.
