Sampled on draft at the Pratt St Ale House this beer poured a very dark brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish with notes of molasses, heather and honey. The flavor was tobacco, wood, heathe, plum and molasses. Lots going on but the elements were hard to pick out. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied and creamy. Interesting.

Nitro pour. Pours amber brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma is caramel malt with some herbal hops. Flavor is caramel malt, toffee, toasted malt, some honey sweetness and a floral herbal hops finish. Very nice.

The tree tips put an odd astringent infusion in here that I’m not sure works. Light honey. Pours dark mahogany with great nitro pillow of head. Some caramel and oak doesn’t help the astringency with the wooden notes. Creamy consistency. Astringent and lightly sweet finish. Nitro at Glens.

Farbe braun-schwarz. Im Geruch zimt, holz. Im Geschmack dann karamell-holzig mit Marzipannoten.

Kräftiger Geruch nach Schwarzbrot und Zuckerrübenkraut. Geschmack sirupartig, Konsistenz dickflüssig. Im Nachgang kommt der absolute Marzipanhammer.

On tap at Ram’s Head, Annapolis. Tasty lightly sweet malt, slightly earthy, slightly fruity.
