On tap at Pratt. Pours a ruby color with a touch of haze under a medium sized yellowed beige head. Nutty malt, toast on the nose. Sweet and warming up front, malty. Malty, sweet toast, chewy malt with a touch of dark fruit. Long sweet malt, toast, gentle bitterness on the finish. notalush (5873) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 6, 2012
I liked this one at first - up front, there is a nice crispness to the malt profile, and a bright fruitiness from the hops - then, through the middle, it starts to get a bit sweet, with notes of fruit, toffee, treacle - not bad, but getting a little less enjoyable - then, the alcohol comes on very strong, especially in the finish, leaving a lightly medicinal notes - starts strong, but disappoints in the end. sonnycheeba (5988) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 20, 2012

Tastes a bit like burnt coffee and caramel. Has a sweet smell to it with a tiny bit of burntness. However, the burnt taste was a bit of a welcomed surprise. I like.
