Sampled on draft at the Pratt St Ale House this beer poured a dark brown color with a medium sized creamy off white head that left great lacing. The aroma was tobacco and dark fruits. Pours a finger and half of head on a dark brown body. The aroma is dark dry grains. The taste is caramel, muted apricot sweetness, molasses with a long tingle finish. The texture is crisp and fizzy. It has great flavor.

7.5% ABV. Strong Brown Ale Alcoholic nose which carries some nice deeply roasted malts. Approaches an English style porter. Full mouthful of nice clean malty flavors. Finishes off with some quality bitters. They do bloom a little to give off some nice floral accents that reminded me of Calla lillies. Goes on Favorites List.

On cask at The Ale House Columbia. Clear, dark mahogany wins thin, creamy tan head and excellent lacing. Aroma of booze, butterscotch, licorice, red grapes and a little roasted malt. Taste of booze, butterscotch, nuts, floral hops, red grapes, licorice and roasted malt. This has a reasonable complex, but not especially pleasant taste. Full/medium body and low (cask) carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark amber with a medium lt tan head. Aroma has a cheap roasty/nuttiness and a hint of burnt toffee. Flavor follows suit but steps up the toffee and adds that earthy bitterness for balance...slight booziness...muddled. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with a dry earthy/burnt toffee finish.
