Not too sure on the style, but ChurchKey had it classified this way, so Ill go with that. Poured a hazy chestnut brown. The nose had plenty of oak alongside some very sweet malt. Also there was toasted malt, caramel, toffee, and a bit of vanilla. Served on cask, so the mouthfeel was quite creamy and low in bubbles, as to be expected. High drinkability--this was the first beer Id had from Pratt Street and I will definitely seek out more. Serving type: cask Reviewed on: 12-06-2009

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Yes woody on aroma. Dark brown. I quite like the oak/hop/malt mix. Some decent toffee. Oak reminds me of a wine. Structures it quite well. Quite likeable.

20101011 This was actually a cask of Oak Aged 3 Lions Ale at Maxs. Woody and strong butterscotch. Soft palate with coating vanilla and lingering alcohol. Strong stuff, nicely done and I can deal with the diacetyl
