Cask at Pizzeria Paradiso. Copper color, thick white head, massive lacing. No detectable aroma. Taste has a slight, very slight edge of cherry, and not much else. Very thin and watery. Drain pour. Sorry.

Cask at Max’s. Pours clear light ruby with a medium, creamy white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is light honey and biscuit malt, tart cherries, earthy hops and light fruity esters. Flavor is light tart cherries, supporting malt with a dry finish. Light body and warmth with medium carbonation.

On tap at Pratt. Pours a clear ruby with a thin white to beige head. Soft cherry on the nose, some light wheat and malt notes. Not as tart as I would have liked, especially given the nice cherry notes on the nose. Sort of emptied out. Easy drinking, tasty enough, but not something I’d probably order again.

TAP: Ruby red pour. Musty cherry nose. Wheat and cherry on taste, not overpowering, and not overly tart. Very enjoyable brew.

Tap at RFD. Pours a clear brown with no head (bad pour). Light cherry juicy juice and crystal malt aroma. Taste is mild piney hops- not much else. This was served right next to an India Brown Ale and I could not tell the difference whatsoever. Slightly more cherry presence- but I would not have really been looking for it if the name was not Cherry Blossom ale.

nimbleprop (8750) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 19, 2009
Sampled at Max’s American Beer Fest. Pours a transparent ruby red with a whispy head. Musty aroma, slight fruit. Flavor tastes like cherry extract, slightly metallic, buttery with some sweet tarts. Buttery on the tongue, medium bodied. This wasn’t great.

On draft at DC Beer Festival. Poured a pink color with a pretty pink hued color. Aroma is strong notes of floral notes, perhaps some kind of slight sweetness in there, but not really capturing the cherries in this one. This one is pretty weak unfortunately. Flavor is a bit like light perfume, not much else outside the floral notes.
