Pint can from State Line, mine says 3.8% abv. Nose has waves of chocolate, gentle but prominent roast, cola. Pour dull mahogany with a fizzy tan head. Low bitterness and semi-dry, or perhaps very lightly sweet. Watery but heavy fullish body with its soul squished out, no alcohol shown at all, carbonation and mouthfeel are much more like cola than beer, medium chocolate with dusty cocoa, strong roast with little flits of acridity and scorch, no hops. Not malty, either, though the specialty malts used are easy enough to tell. So, missing the lilting allure of traditional milds, but still not bad, an an easy switch for a Guinness drinker. Draft at Five & Dime in Bmore. Dark brown. Clear. American take on style. Cleaner & more carbonated. But has soppy wet brown malts flavor and earthy soil sweetness. Maybe I am a sucker for anything close to a good mild. djd07 (16289) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 7, 2017
On tap at Pratt Street Ale House. Pours a amber with small beige head that lasts. The aroma/flavor is raisin, licorice, rye, toasted malt. Thin body, nice sweetness, light finish, good. FROTHINGSLOSH (8267) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 9, 2016
Sampled on draft at the Pratt St Ale House this beer poured a very dark brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized creamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was toasty, woody and had a hint of dark fruit. The flavor was toasty, bitter, woody and a bit watery. Medium length finish. Light body. Meh.

6.2% ABV. English Dark Mild
Color tapped out a dark brown at about 28ºSRM.
Nose is clean and tells you quite plainly to please notice the nice roasted barley notes which are rich, inviting and declare that the brewer bothered to start with an excellent ingredient.
Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated and adjusted to be pronounced, which elevates the palate from soapy and syrupy to where it is light enough so that you can appreciate the flavor of a lightly toasted barley loaf. Quite crafty...no pun intended.
Good bitters at the end but mild as promised.

Farbe dunkel rot. Geruch nach Waldbeeren. Im Geschmack dann leicht sauer und brotig. Angemessen bitter. Tayeth (705) - North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 5, 2015
Geruch karamellartig, Geschmack leider nicht ganz so cremig, sondern relativ stark karbonisiert. Im Geschmack weniger Karamell, sondern eher Getreide.
