From Tap at Pratt Street. This year, again, bourbon barrel Monkey is my favorite Oliver’s/Pratt Street brew. Aroma is bourbon, malt, fruit. Pour is deep amber/brown with thin white head. Taste is malt and bourbon heavy with some smoky hops and a clean finish. Very good mouthfeel, though could fare better if it were a little silkier. Flavor is heavy malt with supporting dark fruit esters and light hops; bourbon notes throughout with a sweet finish. Full body, medium carbonation, and high warmth.
