Sampled on nitro draft at the Pratt Street Alehouse this beer poured a red-brown color with a huge creamy orange-white head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was toasty with perfumey and fruity hops. The flavor was bitterish and a bit harsh with perfume and tobacco notes. Long bitter and harsh tobacco finish. Medium body. Appearance: clear coppery light brown, with one finger of creamy nitro beige head. Aroma: graham crackers, toffee, a bit of cardboard. Taste: caramel hard candy, toffee, a bit nutty, with some mellow, earthy hops. Finish: smooth and creamy, with just a hint of minerality or metal at the end. Notes: Very enjoyable, with sweet and nutty malts buoyed by a creamy smooth palate. On tap at the Ale House Columbia as Coventry Cream Ale.
