hazy amber, light beige head, spidery lacing. Nose hides diacetyl behind grinds and chocolate. Cream and cigarette ash flavor, light chocolate and peanut butter before sticky end. A mess.

Tap at Pratt St Alehouse. Deep, clear brown to deep ruby pour. Medium tan head. Nose is toffee and diacetyl. Maybe some dark cherry. Taste is decent, some butter and cocoa powder. Chocolate milk perhaps. Not bad. Still mild diacetyl in the body. Palate is bubbly and buttery...becoming papery and bland. On tap at Pratt. Pours a clear caramel cola brown with a thin to medium sized yellowed beige head. Roast, chocolate, malt, dark fruit. Roast up front, bitter cocoa, chocolate. Medium bodied, roast, chocolate and cocao. Long roast bitterness, cocoa. Easy drinking.

Tap at Pratt Street - quite similar to the oatmeal stout - similar body, as well as similar notes of roastiness and a touch of woody notes - however, this one has quite a bit more sweetness, so the chocolate and light fruitiness (again, similar to the stout) become the mail focus of the beer, rather than balancing out with the other flavors - a decent brew, but go for the stout instead. Draft @ The Wharf Rat, Baltimore, MD. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty caramel aroma. Roasted malty caramel flavor with hints of chocolate and weak yeasty hints. Has a roasted malty caramel finish.
