On tap at Pratt. Pours a deep brown with a thin to medium sized tanned beige head. Soft roast, malt on the nose. Sweet, big and malty. Big bitterness, roast, lots of toasty malt. Cask at Max’s Taphouse. Pours clear black with a medium, fizzy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is chocolate and roast malt, prunes, dates, and woody, earthy hops. Cask. Pours dark brown with thick, frothy beige head; good retention and lacing. Aroma is roasted and caramel malts, earthy hops, leather, chocolate, and woody notes. Flavor is roast malt forward followed by a heavy dose of rich, earthy hops and finishes with light chocolate and burnt coffee. Medium body and low carbonation.
